My name is Valentin. For twelve years, I crafted images for cinema in visual effects, retouching shots until the light was just right. It's a profession that teaches patience and an obsession with detail, but where you never actually meet the people you're filming.

I photograph weddings as if telling a film: by seeking out the light, the framing, and the gesture, never a pose.

Based in Brussels, I also work for institutions, including the European Commission, and my personal projects have been exhibited in Paris and Brussels. But weddings hold a special place: a day that cannot be replayed, and images that will be looked at for a lifetime.

What makes me most proud is never a particular photo. It's when guests ask me, at the end of the evening, how long I've known the couple.
