    Article summary

Eight wedding apps compared for a couple getting married in Belgium: languages, prices, platforms, and genuine Belgian suppliers. Including the limitations of each, WEWED included.

    Summarise with AI

What is the best app for organising your wedding in Belgium? The rankings found online mostly feature French, Dutch, or American apps. Many of them cannot even be installed from a Belgian phone.

We compared eight applications based on what matters to a couple getting married here. The language: French and Dutch. Belgian suppliers. Prices in euros. Platforms available in Belgium: iPhone, Android, web.

    Transparency

This article was written by the WEWED team, who publish one of the compared applications. The others are described based on their official pages and their store listings, checked on 13 October 2026.

    In brief

No single application does everything. To combine organisation and Belgian suppliers, especially in Wallonia and Brussels: WEWED. For a wedding website: Joy. To search for a reception venue: Bridebook. For a Dutch-language tool: ThePerfectWedding or WEWED. In Flanders, Bridebook has the most wedding venues (around 200, pages in English).

Criteria for a couple in Belgium

Language. A Belgian wedding can be planned in two languages: one family in Liège, the other in Ghent, guests in Brussels. Few applications exist in both French and Dutch.

Availability. A highly-rated app in the United States is not necessarily in the Belgian App Store. We checked each listing in the Belgian stores.

Suppliers. A directory of 250,000 American professionals does not help find a caterer near Namur. We counted what each app truly shows in Belgium.

Price. Free, with ads, subscription, or one-time payment: we provide the displayed amounts.

Tools. Checklist, budget, guests, seating plan, wedding gift list, wedding website. Not all of them do everything.

    The comparison in a table

The applications are listed in alphabetical order. Store ratings, with their number of reviews, are in the detailed listings below.

The Eight Apps, One by One

    Bridebook

What it does well. A free British app, with no in-app purchases. Checklist, automatically allocated budget, guest management with RSVPs (plus-ones, dietary requirements) and a wedding website. The account links to your partner's, and a close friend can be added. It lists 358 venues in Belgium. Google Play: 4.8 out of over 4,300 reviews.

Its limitations. Belgian pages are in English, not Dutch. Apart from venues, we couldn't confirm any Belgian suppliers: according to its help section, a new country starts with venues. No dedicated seating plan tool.

For whom. A couple primarily looking for a venue and who are comfortable with English.

    Joy

What it does well. Joy, published in the United States, is primarily a wedding website. The website, online guest RSVPs, digital save-the-dates, and gift registry are free. Cash gifts work in euros for European accounts. Multiple administrators can manage the same wedding. App Store Belgium: 4.7 out of 83 ratings. Google Play: 4.4 out of over 12,300 reviews.

Its limitations. No supplier directory. We found neither a wedding planning checklist nor a budget tool. The seating plan is a paid feature. No Dutch: the guest website translates its menus, but not your custom texts. Card fees are paid by the guest.

For whom. A couple who wants a beautiful wedding website and online RSVPs, with guests in multiple countries.

    Mariages.net

What it does well. Mariages.net belongs to the American group The Knot Worldwide and targets France. Everything is free: countdown planner, budget, guest management with RSVP requests, printable seating plan, wedding website, and messaging. Its guest photo app, Wedshoots, is available in Belgium: 4.68 out of 2,170 ratings on the Belgian App Store. Google Play: 4.4 out of over 17,800 reviews.

Its limitations. The app is not in the Belgian App Store: with a Belgian Apple account, it cannot be found. Only Android and the website remain. No Dutch. The Belgian directory is sparse: 80 venues and 80 photographers, including only 1 photographer in Flemish Brabant. Photographer pages for Antwerp and West Flanders do not exist.

For whom. A French-speaking couple, using Android or a computer, who wants free and comprehensive tools.

    MyWed

What it does well. An organisational notebook in French, available on iPhone and Android. Guest management (meals, RSVPs), seating plan, date-generated tasks with reminders, budget, and payments. You can invite your partner to collaborate. App Store Belgium: 4.8 out of 30 ratings. Google Play: 4.0 out of over 11,700 reviews.

Its limitations. Advertisements in the free version. Full functions require a Premium subscription: €6.99 per month, €34.99 per year, or €69.99 for life. No Dutch, no directory, no Belgian content, and no web version found.

For whom. A couple who already has their suppliers and only wants a notebook on their phone.

    Notre Mariage (Ons Huwelijk)

What it does well. This is the international version of Naše Svatba, a Czech app. It is available in French and Dutch, on iPhone, Android, and web. Checklist based on remaining months, budget, guest management, day-of schedule, seating plan, and partner invitation. Updates are released several times a week.

Its limitations. The free version is limited to 30 guests and 10 budget items. The wedding website and QR code photo gallery are reserved for the most comprehensive plan. We could not find its price in euros. The directory is Czech: no Belgian suppliers. No ratings yet in Belgian app stores.

For whom. A bilingual wedding with fewer than 30 guests.

    planning.wedding

What it does well. A free web tool, usable without registration, with an iPhone app launched end of September 2026 and an Android app early October 2026. The interface is available in French and Dutch. Its strong point is the seating plan: automatic placement, ceremony seating, printable PDFs. Also: checklist, budget, online RSVPs, real-time collaboration.

Its limitations. Printable exports and AI are reserved for Premium: $29 per project on the web, €34.99 on iPhone. A search for "Brussels, Belgium" in its directory only shows suppliers based in France. The apps are very recent and do not yet have ratings. The publisher is vague: an American company according to the app stores, a Spanish company according to the French website.

For whom. A couple primarily looking for an advanced seating plan, in French or Dutch.

    ThePerfectWedding

What it does well. A Dutch platform, with an app installable on both Belgian app stores. The tools are free. Checklist of over 150 tasks, budget, guest management with day/evening attendance and dietary requirements, seating plan, day-of schedule, and gift list. A guest photo album works via QR code, without an account. Google Play: 4.5 out of 178 reviews.

Its limitations. No French in the app. The directory (over 16,000 businesses) is focused on the Netherlands: in Ghent, it shows 1 venue, then Dutch venues. Advertisements, and in-app purchases for virtual dress try-ons, from €1.49 to €12.99 on the Belgian App Store. We found neither a wedding website nor online guest RSVPs.

For whom. A Dutch-speaking couple who wants a free organisational tool in their language.

    WEWED

What it does well. This is our app, used by over 1,100 couples. It is Belgian, free for couples, with no in-app purchases, available on iPhone, Android, and web with the same shared data. Interface in French and Dutch. Each partner has their own account. The checklist adjusts to your wedding date and each task can be assigned to one or the other. The budget offers a line-item breakdown with Belgian benchmarks, derived from the WEWED barometer (525 reported budgets).

The guest list is managed by household, including timings for the day (ceremony, drinks reception, dinner, evening party). The seating plan is done by drag-and-drop, with alerts. The wedlist is a bank transfer gift fund: the guest scans a bank QR code, the money arrives in your account, with no commission. The directory includes just over 180 suppliers, each profile validated by the team. The Match suggests suppliers based on your date, region, style, and budget, and a swipe sends a real enquiry. WEWED operates on supplier subscriptions, not from couples.

Its limitations. A young app, launched in 2026: still few reviews in the app stores (App Store Belgium: 5.0 out of 5 ratings, no rating yet on Google Play). The directory is mainly Walloon and Brussels-based today, and is expanding into Flanders, Luxembourg, and France.

For whom. A couple, in Belgium or elsewhere in Europe, who wants to organise their entire wedding in one place: the tools and the suppliers.

Known apps, but not usable here

The Knot, Zola and WeddingWire are highly rated in the United States. The Knot has 4.9 out of over 222,000 ratings on the US App Store. Zola, 4.9 out of over 98,000. WeddingWire, 4.8 out of nearly 46,000.

None of the three are in the Belgian App Store. The Knot and WeddingWire cannot be installed from Google Play in Belgium, and Zola does not have an Android app. Their directories are American.

Zankyou was acquired by The Knot Worldwide in 2023. Since autumn 2024, zankyou.fr redirects to Mariages.net, and zankyou.be displays an error.

The Big Day is no longer available for download: its App Store listing returns an error, and its last known version dates from June 2023.

Which one to choose depending on your situation

You are getting married in Wallonia or Brussels and want everything in one place. WEWED: organisation, budget with Belgian benchmarks and Belgian suppliers in the same file, for free.

You live in Flanders. For organisation in Dutch, WEWED and ThePerfectWedding are suitable. For wedding venues, Bridebook is the most comprehensive (around 200 in Flanders). Our five ways to find your suppliers are also valid outside of apps.

Your family speaks French and Dutch. WEWED, planning.wedding and Notre Mariage exist in both languages. With Joy, you write the texts yourself in each language.

You are primarily looking for a wedding venue. Bridebook shows 358 venues in Belgium. Mariages.net shows 80 on its website. On WEWED, each venue is a file validated by the team, especially in Wallonia and Brussels.

You want a beautiful wedding website. Joy, for which this is its core business. Bridebook and Mariages.net also offer one, for free.

You have many guests to seat. planning.wedding seats guests automatically, and so does Joy in its paid seating plan. In WEWED, the seating plan starts directly from the guest list, with alerts when a table is full.

You want a gift list in euros. The WEWED wedding gift list uses bank transfers: the money arrives directly in your account, with no commission. Joy accepts cards, with fees for the guest and fixed fees per transfer for the couple.

You want your guests' photos. Wedshoots, Mariages.net's photo app, or ThePerfectWedding's QR code album.
