Music played in front of you, not streamed

Classical, jazz, acoustic, pop. The musicians in the directory.

1 approved musician 1 province

A musician does not replace a DJ, they do something else. They mark one moment: the entrance, the ceremony, the cocktail hour. Twenty minutes of music played in front of your guests change the texture of a memory far more than an hour of playlist.

The musician in the directory

Just one for now. The page will grow with the directory.

Or by province

Supply is not spread evenly across the provinces. That is why the province is a filter here, and not a page of its own.

How to choose your musician

  1. 1Pick one moment, not the whole eveningCeremony, cocktail hour, grand entrance. A musician marks a moment, they do not carry the night.
  2. 2Check the acousticsA barn, a chapel and a garden do not call for the same line-up or the same amplification.
  3. 3Talk about the entrance songIt is the one that plays back in your head. Ask if they can arrange it for their line-up.
  4. 4Plan for power outdoorsA string quartet needs none, an amplified band does. Check it beforehand.
  5. 5Coordinate with the DJThe switch from live to DJ is a delicate moment. Get them talking beforehand.

The five questions to ask

  • What line-up do you offer, and how many musicians?
  • Can you arrange a piece that means a lot to us?
  • Do you need power and shelter?
  • How long do you play, and with what breaks?
  • How does the handover to the DJ work?

What it costs

From 400 € for a single musician at the ceremony to 2 500 € and more for a full band in the evening.

These amounts are market benchmarks I wrote myself, not measurements. No listing in this category has entered a price in the database.

What's moving right now

  • ·Live music kept to the ceremony and the cocktail hour, with the DJ for the night.
  • ·Small line-ups, duo or trio, that fit anywhere.
  • ·Acoustic covers of recent tracks, rather than the classic repertoire.
  • ·Musicians who arrange the entrance song to order.

Frequently asked questions

Musician or DJ?

They do two different jobs. The musician marks a moment, the DJ carries the evening. Many couples book both.

How long does a musician play for?

Usually two sets of forty minutes, or the length of the ceremony and the cocktail hour.

The other categories

Each one sorts its vendors by what really sets them apart.

Twenty minutes played are worth an hour streamed

A musician does not replace a DJ. They mark one moment, and that is the one you replay in your head.
