How to choose your trip

  1. 1Don't leave the next dayThe day after a wedding is not a real day. Count on two to three days of buffer.
  2. 2Check the paperwork earlyA passport in your maiden name and a ticket in your married name are enough to stop you boarding.
  3. 3Open a travel listMany couples would rather receive nights away than objects.
  4. 4Say it is your honeymoonMany hotels add something. You just have to mention it when booking.
  5. 5Keep one week with no plansThe year has been busy. The trip does not need to be a second thing to organise.

  • How far in advance of departure do we need to book for this destination?
  • What happens if our names change before we leave?
  • Can we open a travel registry for our guests?
  • Which insurance policies are included, and which are missing?
  • What is the best season, really, not commercially?
