The trip you plan the least and look forward to the most

Doing nothing, adventure, road trip, city break. The agencies in the directory.

2 approved agencies 2 provinces

This is the only item that comes after the wedding, and so the first one to be rushed. It deserves the same preparation as everything else, and it gains from not leaving the day after the party.

The 2 agencies in the directory

Too few listings for a filter by criterion: this one will appear once the trade has enough people.

Or by province

Supply is not spread evenly across the provinces. That is why the province is a filter here, and not a page of its own.

How to choose your trip

  1. 1Don't leave the next dayThe day after a wedding is not a real day. Count on two to three days of buffer.
  2. 2Check the paperwork earlyA passport in your maiden name and a ticket in your married name are enough to stop you boarding.
  3. 3Open a travel listMany couples would rather receive nights away than objects.
  4. 4Say it is your honeymoonMany hotels add something. You just have to mention it when booking.
  5. 5Keep one week with no plansThe year has been busy. The trip does not need to be a second thing to organise.

The five questions to ask

  • How far in advance of departure do we need to book for this destination?
  • What happens if our names change before we leave?
  • Can we open a travel registry for our guests?
  • Which insurance policies are included, and which are missing?
  • What is the best season, really, not commercially?

What it costs

From 2 000 € for a week in Europe to 10 000 € and more for a two-week long-haul trip.

These amounts are market benchmarks I wrote myself, not measurements. No listing in this category has entered a price in the database.

What's moving right now

  • ·The honeymoon pushed back by a few months, rather than the day after.
  • ·The travel list replacing the gift list.
  • ·A short trip in Europe, then a real journey the year after.
  • ·Nearby destinations, carried by the night train.

The style quiz shows two screens of photos and names your mood in one sentence, with vendors to match. Two minutes, no account needed.

Frequently asked questions

When should you leave for the honeymoon?

Not the day after. Two to three days of breathing room at least, and many couples now push it back by several months.

Can guests help pay for it?

Yes, it has even become common: the travel registry replaces the gift list.

The other categories

Each one sorts its vendors by what really sets them apart.

The item you rush because it comes afterwards

It is prepared like everything else, and above all it gains from not leaving the day after the party.
